Because insurance is costlier and more restrictive than ever before, physical rehab programs are limited to treating the injury and not necessarily the original cause, and patients are often prematurely discharged from professional health care. The critical time period for making a full recovery from injury or surgery often occurs after the formal physical rehab is over. Most recurring injuries, and new injuries to areas compensating for the original injuries, occur because the patient fails to learn proper movement patterns and returns to the activities of normal life or the demands of their sport without continuing a rehab and strengthening program. When patients are discharged from physical therapy or chiropractic care, we pick up where the patients' health care stopped. We work directly with their health care professionals to design comprehensive exercise programs addressing the clients' specific needs and goals.
In addition to muscular / skeletal injuries, patients with medical conditions such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, MS, Fibromyalgia, COPD, and CVA can benefit from a medically prescribed, supervised exercise program. We work together with the patient's health care provider to design an exercise program appropriate for the patient's health condition.
