Pilates
Because Pilates is a non-impact exercise system focused on increasing flexibility and strength to build functionally sound bodies, it is appropriate for all ages and abilities. Pilates emphasizes the abdominal and low back muscles while integrating control and body awareness.
Pilates strengthens and stabilizes the core, while increasing the flexibility, strength and functional mobility of our joints. A terrific way to counteract the natural effects of aging and poor posture, it compliments all types of fitness programs. For the general population, the core strength, posture and mobility gained from Pilates will enable the safe execution of every day activities. For athletes, amateur and professional, Pilates will make the core strong and stable to handle the large forces generated by the legs and arms during their sport.
People tend to love Pilates because of the way it makes them feel. Unlike most types of exercise that feel best when you're finished, Pilates feels great while you're doing it.
