The Rotator Cuff is made up of four muscles that come together to secure the upper arm bone in the socket. They exist in a delicate balance front to back, governing the position of the shoulder blade and contributing to neck orientation.

Any imbalance or tightness in these muscles can lead to impingement and inflammation, causing pain and an increased risk of a tear. Deep Tissue work acts directly on each of these muscles to add space to the joint. By loosening the muscles and tendons, tension and pain can be relieved in the shoulder and the neck.
